ThisisLondon to offer music downloads
Users of the London Evening Standard’s website, ThisisLondon, are to be offered access to a music download service in a deal signed with Wippit.
The partnership between the Wippit and Associated New Media will give users access to an array of downloadable tracks from 29p per track.
Research carried out by ANM revealed that the website’s users were more than average internet surfers to download music, prompting bosses to look for a deal with a music download service.

Mark Milner, chief operating officer for Associated New Media, said: “We know that downloading music through the Internet is becoming increasingly popular - already around a third of the UK population has downloaded music in the last three months.
“Our research shows that downloading music is key among ThisisLondon’s young and affluent audience.
“Wippit offer an extremely good value service with a wide range of music which we believe will benefit our readers.”
