NME secures cross-promotion with Xfm
Music weekly NME has teamed up with Capital Radio Group's radio station Xfm to offer its readers a free CD with its 2 October issue.
Entitled “The Live CD: The Best of Xfm Sessions 2004”, the CD features artists that have been championed by NME throughout 2004 from Keane and Razorlight to The Killers. The CD features 14 live recordings from the Xfm vault.

Xfm will be supporting the CD covermount with on-air editorial support and a week's burst of 30-second radio advertising.
Xfm head of marketing Charlotte Soussan said: "Xfm is committed to live music and we broadcast exclusive live sessions six days a week, as well as making them available on the Xfm website. This CD features some of the most exciting bands Xfm and NME have been supporting in the past year and offers fans exclusive versions of some of their favourite tracks."
Nick New, senior marketing manager of music added: "This is a great example of an equally beneficial partnership at work - Xfm's need to grow nationwide awareness and the NME's need for innovative and cost effective promotion are satisfied in a very natural way."
