Thomson Directories expands email marketing service
LONDON – Thomson Directories has launched Emarketing Advantage alongside software specialists IDS and database marketing company Alterian, to enable users to analyse millions of records and help drive campaigns.
The Business Information division of Thomson Directories is broadening its emarketing service by offering data intelligence, results profiling, analysis and data augmentation.
The enhanced database will enable the client to segment and target prospects in order to improve email marketing efficiency.

The new service follows on from Thomson's email marketing service Email Marketing Solutions, which is based on more than 400,000 opt-in business-to-business email addresses.
Jane Byrne, Thompson product manager, said: "Using this level of data visualisation, we can identify prospects that mirror the findings of what an 'ideal' customer looks like, and then set up email campaigns to communicate the most relevant messages."
Emarketing Advantage also enables the customer to augment their database using the Thomson Directories in-house call centre.
"In launching Emarketing Advantage, we are aiming to stimulate an increased market for email marketing based on providing a level of data insight that will reduce marketing costs and improve ROI," Byrne added.
