Teletext launches 2m mail-drop to push car sales

LONDON - Teletext is launching a direct mail campaign to promote its new and used car selling services Teletext Cars, which launched earlier this year.

The campaign, designed and created by Purity, involves a door-drop to 2m homes in London, the East Midlands and Scotland with the tagline "The world's biggest car showroom in your living room".

Included in this is a competition offering consumers the opportunity to win a satellite navigation system for their car when they visit Teletext's car pages.

Alongside the direct mail campaign, TV advertising featuring a voiceover by Neil Morrissey is being used to target consumers in central and northern regions of England.

There has also been a regional press advertising campaign in areas with a high number of Teletext car dealers.

Teletext's car trading pages launched as Teletext Cars in March this year.

Rob Gray, Purity managing director, said: "With the launch of Teletext Cars there are now even more reasons to pick up the TV remote and have a Teletext moment of your very own."
