LONDON - Business news broadcaster CNBC is to launch a two-hour live show jointly anchored by hosts in three different continents.

The programme, which is as yet unnamed, will be co-hosted by anchors Christine Tan in Singapore, Ross Westgate in London and Michelle Caruso-Cabrera in New York and air from 9am to 11am daily in the UK from December 19.

CNBC is dubbing the programme, which replaces 'The Morning Exchange' for European viewers, as the first truly global business news show and says it will feature live reports from financial centres including London, Frankfurt, Paris, New York, Shanghai and Mumbai.

Mark Hoffman, CNBC president, said: "This is the first full integration of CNBC's worldwide roster of anchors, correspondents and producers and the expertise each has in their individual regions."

The launch of the programme comes ahead of CNBC taking full control of the CNBC Europe, CNBC Asia and 24-hour digital network CNBC World in January next year, when Dow Jones hands over its stake in the companies.
