LONDON - Personal has created four new roles as part of an attempt to grow the business over 2006 and beyond.

The most senior new appointment is that of Peter Batchelor, who has been made group account director. He joins the firm in the New Year from Triangle, where he was head of direct marketing, and will report to Personal client services partner Nicola Dady.

At Personal, Batchelor will oversee the Bulldog account. "Peter's ability to handle one of our flagship accounts, as well as help drive the business forward, will be fantastic," Dady said.

Other changes include the hiring of a new senior creative team. The agency has poached duo Michael Poole and Alan Mackie from Harrison Troughton Wunderman.

Personal has also bolstered its planning department, with the appointment of Tom Burrell. He joins the firm from Wunderman Automotive.

Chris Ward, Personal managing partner, said: "We've built the business very quickly over the past 15 months by having something genuinely different to offer clients. Our approach has proven that we can deliver tangible results for clients.

"The future of our business will depend on attracting the best talent and building strong teams who are motivated to deliver. That is our goal for 2006 and beyond."

Personal was founded in July 2004 and provides an array of marketing services, from DM and digital to advertising. Billings are currently £32m and clients include 3, Abbey, Bupa and Carphone Warehouse.
