Jodie Kidd chosen as face of British International Motor Show
LONDON - Model Jodie Kidd has been signed up as the face of the British International Motor Show to open up the appeal of the show to women and families, as well as the traditional male-dominated audience.
Accomplished racing driver Kidd will be involved in all promotional activity for the show, which moves from Birmingham to London, including photos alongside the show's logo and providing quotes for press material.

In addition, she will host an event for women's consumer press in early 2006 and take part in the "100 Years of Motoring" car parade in London on July 16.
The show's organisers, International Motor Industry Events, hope Kidd's involvement will attract sponsorship deals beyond car manufacturers.
Kidd will also be on hand to open the show on press day on July 18 and trade visitors day on July 19 at London's ExCel Centre, the first time the event has been held in London for more than 30 years.
Kirsty Adams, IMIE spokesman, said: "We're delighted that Jodie has agreed to be the face of The British International Motor Show for 2006. She has exactly the right mix of glamour and credibility to complement our new show."
The British International Motor Show is open to the public from July 20-30 2006 at ExCeL London.
Kidd said: "Everyone knows I'm a massive motoring fan and I love cars so I'm really excited about the new and improved show. There are some really cool features planned and the move to London is going to give it a big jump start too. It's going to be a really stylish show, with plenty for the girls as well as the petrolheads."
