NEW YORK - Disney has extended its iPod programming offering to include sports shows from its ESPN and ABC Sports channels.

Disney also will be offering free video podcasts from ABC News and 'Good Morning America', which will also include advertising.

The company first began selling its programming to iPod users in October, when it made episodes of 'Lost' and 'Desperate Housewives' available for $1.99.
Along with its new sports offerings, it has added numerous other entertainment shows to the iTunes store this week, including 'America's Funniest Home Videos' and the animated series 'Kim Possible'.
Anne Sweeney, co-chair of Disney Media Networks and president of Disney ABC Television Group, said: "We believe that making our content available on iTunes results in incremental viewing opportunities and also furthers awareness of our programmes and brands."
