WWE hands £3m activity to Carat
World Wrestling Entertainment has hired Carat for a £3m UK advertising campaign to capitalise on increasing interest in the sport.
Carat defeated Vizeum and MindShare to win the account, following a
pitch that was overseen by the AAR.
WWE, which had to rebrand from WWF after a clash with the World Wildlife
Fund in May 2002, began the review in October.

With no incumbent, it required an agency to promote a series of
live-event tours in the UK, as well as its pay-per-view programming.
The events will be backed by radio, outdoor and press activity, with WWE
set to record two of its flagship TV shows - Wrestlemania Raw and
Smackdown! - during the tour starting later this year.
In September, WWE claimed its revenues for the first quarter of 2005 had
increased to £77.8m, up from £46.3m the previous year.
