HONG KONG - WPP Group's MediaCom is poised to grab Nokia's £85m ($150m) media buying and planning business in Asia-Pacific after a competitive pitch.

The win would be a major blow to 10-year incumbent Publicis Groupe's ZenithOptimedia, according to a report by Media Asia.

The GroupM network is reportedly engaged in final negotiations with Nokia, following a four-month review that also involved OMD and Universal McCann.

MediaCom already holds the Nokia business in Europe. GroupM, ZenithOptimedia and Nokia have declined to comment. An official announcement is yet to be made.
