Google expands ad space trial auctions

by Media Week, Media Week 14-Feb-06

Google is expanding its trial auctions of ad space in US magazines and has brought on board mainstream consumer titles such as ElleGirl and Martha Stewart Living.

Google began its trial last August with technology magazines, allowing
advertiser members of its Adwords keyword search auction programme to
bid in auctions for print ad space in magazines such as Future's Maximum

PC.

It has now started a new series of auctions in a greater range of
magazines, including the 1.8 million-selling Martha Stewart Living and
Hachette Filipacchi's 500,000-selling ElleGirl.
