Dare picks up digital marketing strategy assignment for Unilever's Magnum

by Larissa Bannister, Campaign 17-Feb-06

LONDON - Unilever has appointed Dare to develop an online presence and digital marketing strategy for its ice-cream brand Magnum.

Dare beat MRM Worldwide and Lawton eMarketing in a pitch and will now create a website, online work and partnerships.

Magnum becomes the third piece of Unilever business Dare now works on in the UK. It also handles the Lynx/Axe and Bertolli accounts.

The ice-cream brand has used online marketing in the past: in 2004, MRM Worldwide created a microsite to support the sultry "Magnum five senses" campaign devised by its sister agency McCann Erickson.

Unilever's decision to appoint a digital agency follows a commitment to place increased emphasis on the internet as a brand experience and response channel.
