LONDON – Autotrader.co.uk is opening up its database of young affluent males through a new research service managed by list brokers HLB.

Current users of Autotrader.co.uk are 85% male with 54% between the ages of 18-40. A further 75% are professional, senior or middle management and just over half have annual incomes of over £30,000.

The new service will be set up so marketers can either pay to survey site users or obtain answers to research questions already asked or sponsor a specific question.

Information is obtained through pop up surveys and can be processed in two weeks.

Lindsey Sandom-Brown, head of list management and third party inserts at HLB, said: "This offers marketers a fantastic opportunity as this particular group can be very hard to reach."

In addition there are 100,000 women registered with the same profile and an extra 3,500 registarions of both sexes a day.
