Ethical fund firm picks Edinburgh

Scottish ethical fund manager Blue Planet Investment Management has signed up its first PR firm ahead of the launch this week of its new hedge fund.

The company, which invests mainly in the financial sector, excludes several sectors, including alcohol and tobacco producers, those
involved in the trade and manufacture of arms, and makers of pornography.

It has contracted Edinburgh PR for the rollout of Global Financial Fund, and is preparing to launch an open-ended investment company later in the year.

Based in Edinburgh, Blue Planet manages around £130m and has five fund managers, led by chief executive Ken Murray.
