TfL to award congestion charge account to WCRS
Transport for London (TfL) is set to add WCRS to its roster following a review of its £6m advertising account.
It is believed WCRS has won the brief to handle the advertising for
TfL's controversial congestion charge scheme, replacing TBWA\London on
the business.
The charge currently operates only in central London, but TfL is

The appointment of WCRS follows a statutory review of the account, which
had been split between TBWA\London and M&C Saatchi. The latter was
shortlisted with WCRS, Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO and Mother to pitch for
the work (Marketing, 15 February). M&C Saatchi will continue to work
with the transport body on other parts of its business, which it has
handled for the past four years, although a TfL spokesman refused to
comment on the appointments.
TfL handles marketing for the public-carriage office, London Buses, the
London Underground and street management. It is currently seeking a
digital agency to create a website for its Oyster card (Marketing, 22
March).
