OgilvyOne launches full-service online agency in Japan
NEW YORK - OgilvyOne Worldwide's Japanese division OgilvyOne Japan has teamed up with online media specialist Nikko to launch a full-service digital and direct marketing agency called Neo@OgilvyOne.
The newly formed agency will have an emphasis on online media planning and buying, as well as provide search engine marketing services, in a deal that the WPP-owned OgilvyOne claims will create the first foreign affiliated online media agency in Japan.

The agency is led by a management team including representative director Keizo Yamamoto and Yorihiko Kato, president and representative director of Nikko. Its founding clients including IBM, Cisco Systems, SAP and Lenovov.
Yamamoto said: "As broadband internet services come into wide use in Japan a series of new digital channels and applications have been introduced.
"As a result we're seeing clients who are demanding new methods of marketing and communication strategies that are not confined by traditional boundaries."
Neo@OgilvyOne will operate as part of OgilvyOne Worldwide's global network.
Kato said: "What makes Neo@OgilvyOne different is that it does not treat online advertising as an entirely separate function but rather as a backbone for total communication strategies."
