LONDON - Enterprise IG, the WPP Group-owned global branding agency, has hired Judy Delin to the newly created role of head of brand language.

Delin will be in charge of the agency's language offer, a developing area for the business.

It offers language audits and research, creative language development and tone-of-voice strategy, based on the belief that language is an essential component in establishing brand personality.

Delin will report to Craig Fabian, director of consulting at Enterprise IG.

"Language is central to how brands are expressed and understood -- it creates company culture, relationships with customers, and ultimately brands themselves. It is great to be part of a company that is willing to give language the prominence it deserves," Delin said.

She has a background in developing brand language and has researched and published work on linguistics in English and other languages.
