HelpIT to unveil data analysis by subscription
LONDON - Data services firm HelpIT is to launch new online, subscription-based database analysis software, which is aimed at mid-sized companies that do not have a need to establish their own technological infrastructure.
The launch of SegmentIT is planned for June 1 although pricing is yet to be confirmed. The minimum subscription period will be one year.
Chris Cuffe, HelpIT managing director, said it would provide "high-level business intelligence analytics capability with an entry-level price tag".

SegmentIT is powered by marketing analysis and reporting software company Blue Tahiti.
Features include simple file upload, automatic generation of field types for more detailed analysis -- for example, month and year-from dates, querying for simple counts and a dashboard for detailed reporting to the whole organisation.
It provides overviews of database records with the ability to drill down to specific details such as customer profiles of best-selling products, purchasing habits and delivery locations. It also incorporates geodemographic data from Experian's Mosaic.
Cuffe said: "Among its many applications, SegmentIT can allow charities to profile their most generous donors when they buy new lists; it can help online retailers analyse last year's sales by individual and it can show manufacturers exactly where to build a new warehouse.
"By ensuring users have clean data and a seamless interface with our MatchIT data cleansing tool, we have essentially created an easy-to-use high-level business intelligence analytics capability with an entry-level price tag."
