US data puts 192.com at the forefront of global ID checking
LONDON - 192.com Business Services is offering what it claims is the broadest ranging global ID checking service, following the addition of more than 260m US records to its database.
This data will help businesses to confirm customer details such as social security number, drivers licence details, dates of birth, as well as mobile and home phone numbers, reliably establishing a customer's true identity.

Confirming customer's identities has become an increasingly important issue with the rise of online shopping, which has bought with it a major rise in fraud and identity theft.
Keith Marsden, managing director at 192.com Business Services, said: "The internet has enabled businesses of all sizes to access the international market. The only thing holding them back has been the risks associated with dealing with customers that can't be verified, as is so often the case in international e-commerce."
He added: "With North America representing such a large part of the global market, the addition of data on North American citizens has been an important step towards being able to identify any customer, anywhere in the world. We can now offer our customers, particularly the global organisations, more confidence that their customers are who they claim to be."
192 Global-ID US is being launched this week at Global Interactive Gaming Summit & Expo at the Palais des Congres Convention Centre in Montreal.
