Celebrity X-Factor spin-off gets own website via @www
LONDON - FremantleMedia is set to launch a new website for the Nokia-sponsored 'The X Factor: Battle of the Stars', designed and developed by digital agency @www.
The website will be officially unveiled on May 29 and will use @www's site and email marketing tools.
Viewers will be encouraged to visit the site at www.itv.com/xfactor from today, when it soft launches, until the show's premiere on Monday 29. Visitors can also participate in 'The X Factor: Battle of the Stars' online game.

The site is set to feature news and gossip, information on the finalists, news about 'The X Factor' and a photo gallery.
The series, presented by Kate Thornton, will be judged by Simon Cowell, Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh who will be reviewing the singing talent of a line-up of celebrities believed to include; Chris Moyles, Jordan, Sol Campbell, former 'Hollyoaks' actress and Girl Thing singer Jodie Albert, Paul Daniels and his wife Debbie McGee, with late addition of Rebecca Loos.
Toby Prosser, creative director of FremantleMedia Licensing Worldwide, said: "We chose @www both because of the great work they've done on the website for the second series of 'The X Factor', and because they were able to offer us some really innovative ideas for the 'Battle of the Stars' site."
The 'X Factor: Battle of the Stars' is produced for ITV1 by Talkback Thames, the UK production company owned by FremantleMedia.
In addition, Nokia will be supporting its sponsorship with a high-profile marketing campaign.
