Lewis steps down from Next Fifteen

PR Week UK 25-May-06

Tom Lewis, a well-known figure in the technology PR community, is retiring as a non-executive director of Next Fifteen Communications Group.

Lewis co-founded Next Fifteen – the parent of agencies such as Text 100, Inferno Communications and Bite Communications – 25 years ago and has a 12 per cent stake in the group. He will continue to retain a ‘significant’ stake.

Lewis set up the company in 1981 with Mark Adams. He was MD until 1991, when he became executive chairman, guiding the group to a quotation on Ofex in 1997 and subsequent full listing on the London Stock Exchange. He stood down as chairman as of 1 January 2004 (PRWeek, 4 December 2003) but has remained on the board as a non-executive director.

Senior figures continue to include CEO Tim Dyson and FD David Dewhurst.
