RadioCentre offers top post to Andrew Harrison
Andrew Harrison, the former Nestle Rowntree marketing chief and managing director of Muller Dairy, has been offered the post of chief executive of industry body the RadioCentre.
It is understood that Harrison, currently interim category marketing
director at Boots, has not yet decided whether to take up the offer of
the position.
Harrison, who was also linked with the chief executive role at TV
ADVERTISEMENT
along with Martin Bowley, former chief executive of Carlton TV Sales and
now head of media at headhunters Kendall Tarrant.
Final interviews for the post were held last week, conducted by senior
figures from GCap Media, Chrysalis and Emap Radio.
The position became vacant when RAB chief executive Douglas McArthur
ruled himself out of the running. He has taken up the role of
non-executive chairman at the RadioCentre
No one at the RadioCentre would comment on the chief executive
appointment.
The RadioCentre was formed by the merger of the Radio Advertising Bureau
and Commercial Radio Companies Association to provide a more effective
way of marketing the medium and lobbying on behalf of commercial radio
broadcasters.
