Rand takes over Carbon Trust role
The Carbon Trust has brought in Marcus Rand, CEO of renewable-energy pressure group the British Wind Energy Association (BWEA), to bolster its own communications.
Rand’s role, head of PR and corporate comms, reporting to director of marketing and comms Peter Hambly, is part of a marcoms beef-up.
The body is gearing up for a £4m summer campaign, urging businesses to cut carbon emissions. Its retained agency is Fishburn Hedges.

Rand formerly worked as head of media for the Consumers’ Association.
His replacement at the BWEA is former Institute of Export director-general Maria McCaffery.
