InfoSpace and ipoints reward users for searching
LONDON - Mobile entertainment provider InfoSpace has partnered up with ipoints, the online loyalty scheme, to reward customers for the number of searches they perform on its Webfetch search engine.
Web users collect points through ipoints and its partner site ChoicesUK.com and redeem them for magazine subscriptions, DVDs, flying lessons, free flights, TVs and jewellery.
Webfetch, which selects the best results from several engines, will feature a progress bar showing customers how many points they have collected as they perform each search.

Dominic Trigg, vice-president at InfoSpace Europe, said: "We chose to partner with ipoints because it is a leader in online customer retention.
"It has an audience of loyal, active internet users and it has the advanced technology to enable this complex programme to work simply, effectively and non-intrusively."
Ipoints currently has 1m registered customers in the UK, who earn points from 300 online partners.
In December, Webfetch added MSN to its metasearch engine, in addition to the results already provided by Ask, Yahoo! and Google.
