LONDON - The NME is to focus on the summer's UK festival circuit with a covermount CD featuring 15 bands, including Kaiser Chiefs, Razorlight and Franz Ferdinand.

The CD, entitled 'Festival', will be free with this week's edition of NME, and will be supported by a TV campaign across MTV Networks, and a nationwide radio and print campaign.

The covermount follows last month's summer festival preview Festival Times, which became the first newspaper produced under the IPC Media-owned NME masthead since it changed to magazine format in 2002.

NME said 'Festival' would feature "15 songs to soundtrack your summer". The CD includes the likes of The Ordinary Boys, The Automatic and Clap Your Hands Say Yeah.

The edition, which is out tomorrow, will also preview the NME's top 20 must-see new bands of the summer, and a review of Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke's debut solo album, 'The Eraser.'

NME, which is edited by Conor McNicholas, has a circulation of 76,792.
