GCap appoints head of agency sales for Classic FM and Planet Rock
LONDON - GCap Media has promoted Nick Young to group head of agency sales for Classic FM and Planet Rock, replacing Karen Eccles, who has left the company to move to Germany.
Young's promotion to lead the nine-strong team follows a restructure last week in which GCap national sales director Simon Daglish's management responsibilities were extended to agency sales, sponsorship and promotion, commercial marketing and client development.

Young has worked on the team selling airtime and creative packages to agencies across Classic FM and Planet Rock since January 2005.
Daglish said: "Over the last year Nick has proved himself to be a very pro-active and innovative member of the team. He has worked well with his agencies and I am confident he will develop the same enthusiasm and strategic vision as a manager."
Young began his career at Emap, working on the affluent men's group for Golf World and Car magazines. He moved to Men's Health in 2000, selling display and brand-led creative solutions.
