She will report to Karen Swords, who was promoted to director of Ipsos Mori Health last month, having worked at the company for seven years.
Swords said: "Our clients are increasingly demanding a consultative approach, with the benefits of a global network and incorporating knowledge or techniques gained from other sectors."
"The specialist knowledge that Lucy brings to our team will enable the division to further support the specific needs of the diverse range of healthcare clients we service."
Last month, the healthcare division appointed Richard Habis as business development director.
The research network Ipsos Group acquired Mori in October 2005. The companies have since merged, creating Ipsos Mori, with a combined turnover of over £100m in the UK.
