LONDON - Richard E Grant, star of 'Withnail & I' and 'How to Get Ahead in Advertising', will make his radio debut on GCap Media's Classic FM presenting a new programme delving into the lives and the music of Hollywood's greatest film composers.

'Richard E Grant's Great Movie Composers' begins on July 23. His series will include a look at 'Star Wars' and 'Jaws' composer John Williams.

During the course of the series, Grant will profile film composers Ennio Morricone, John Barry, Michael Nyman, Howard Shore and Patrick Doyle.

Doyle composed the soundtrack to Grant's directorial and screenwriting debut 'Wah-Wah', which is the critically acclaimed semi-autobiographical film about his childhood in Swaziland, released this month.

Darren Henley, Classic FM station manager, said: "Richard has a passion for classical music and an immense knowledge of film soundtracks which shines through in this series. We're thrilled to have him on Classic FM."

Grant said: "As a long-time Classic FM devotee, it is a privilege and a great pleasure to be asked to host this great new series."
