MTV seeks digital agency to boost internet TV and mobile programming
MTV is understood to be looking for a digital agency to help increase its internet TV and mobile programming activities.
The Viacom-owned broadcaster is talking to a number of agencies about
providing support for the upcoming launch of a user-generated TV
channel, due to be finalised later this year. The as-yet-un-named

channel hopes to tap into the increasing popularity of social networks
and user-generated websites such as MySpace and YouTube, by allowing
users to create their own programme schedules and upload their own
content on to the channel.
At a recent presentation in New York, MTV outlined plans to increase
revenue from new platforms from $150 million to $500
million by 2008.
Viacom has also upped its investment in the digital sector.
