The viral campaign includes a series of short films depicting flip flops that have been abandoned by their owners, discussing the new Save the Children designs. The films will be hosted at savetheflipflops.org.uk.
The campaign will be supported by online advertising, which will run on sites such as Glamour.com, MSN and Vogue.com, in addition to an email campaign to more than 50,000 Save the Children supporters.
Lyndon Hale, creative director at Wheel, said: "The Save the Children campaign is a great example of how a simple design can have a high impact. It also demonstrates that a rich, integrated digital campaign can work very well in a charitable context."
