LONDON - Interactive Prospect Targeting has launched an online resource for house hunters providing house price data, which will soon feature guides to mortgages and other aspects of owning a home.

After registering users can opt to receive monthly email newsletters about transactions in their selected areas. The newsletters will include media space for advertisers.

Martin Kiersnowski, chief operating officer at IPT, said: "We plan to seek critical mass for the new site and build up a registered user base quickly using the techniques we have developed so successfully with our existing content sites, My Offers, Quiz Player and Daily Diet Tracker."
The site will be developed over the next few months to include a number of guides on subjects including buying property, mortgages, credit problems and insurance.
Editorial will include best buy recommendations written by Chris Gilchrist, a financial journalist and editor-in-chief of Everyinvestor, another service provided by IPT.
The mortgage guide will tie into a mortgage database and commercial partners, which include mortgage broker London & Country, will be offered the chance to have their details highlighted.
Ian Elwes, managing director of IPT's financial division, said: "We will be different from any competing online site by our being attached by our being attached to IPT, namely promotions through the IPT database, the IPT network of sites and our ability to set up a unique mortgage centre to go along with the launch of Mypropertyspy.co.uk."
