Camelot to launch in-store advance ticket promotion
LONDON - National Lottery operator Camelot is to launch an in-store Post Office campaign next month to encourage consumers to buy lottery tickets up to eight weeks in advance.
Camelot said the month-long promotion, which will include its Lotto and recently launched Dream Number game, would feature in selected Post Offices across the UK through retail marketing firm Hicklin Slade & Partners.

A prize draw, offering the chance to win a holiday in Florida, will also tie in with the point-of-sale promotion, which Camelot said aimed to address more convenient ways of buying lottery tickets.
Zoe Vaughn, product manager at Camelot's draw-based games, said: "Reminding customers about the ability to buy tickets while they might be away on long summer holidays is part of [our] drive."
Victoria White, senior account director at Hicklin Slade, said: "This initiative will be welcomed by regular players who may have planned a summer holiday and want to make sure they don't miss out on buying their lottery tickets."
Camelot described the promotion as "the ideal solution" for consumers who wished to buy lottery tickets when out of the country.
Earlier in the month, Camelot appointed Remote Media to install a network on point-of-sale update screens nationwide, which will extend its existing 400 screens, which provide information on jackpot totals, promotions and events.
