Identex chief Pottinger joins EuroDirect in database role

LONDON - EuroDirect has appointed Tim Pottinger, the Identex managing director, to take up the newly created role of database solutions director.

He joins EuroDirect from Identex, which is part of Omnicom-owned WWAV Rapp Collins Group, after around 25 years in the data sector and will be responsible for driving growth in its database division.

Pottinger said: "I have watched EuroDirect's progress and admired its continued success for many years. In such a harsh marketplace it is great to join a company, which is thriving through sheer ambition and focus from everyone in the business."

John Dobson, EuroDirect managing director, added: "Tim will prove to be a fantastic asset, driving new business opportunities, sharing his wealth of expertise and helping us to dramatically grow our database division."

This latest hire follows a successful 2005 for the firm, with figures for the year showing profits up 14.7% to £2.7m. Clients won during the year included Ford, National Savings & Investments and the Post Office.
