NGN appoints first head of mobile strategy
News Group Newspapers has established mobile as its next major new publishing platform with the appointment of its first head of mobile strategy.
Andrew Bagguley, previously head of international portal management at T Mobile, will be responsible for finding and implementing ways to grow the media group's audience and revenues.
He will also be tasked with increasing the frequency of NGN's communication.

"This position has a strong focus on identifying trends in mobile development, but will interpret these trends to fit with NGN's overall publishing strategy," said Mike Anderson, managing director of News Group Newspapers.
"Key to this will be cultivating a good relationship with the network operators and representing NGN interests in the wider mobile industry."
NGN's established commercial telephony team, led by Simon Ashley. will report directly to Bagguley.
