Daily Mirror and Ipoints team up for prize draw incentive

LONDON - The Daily Mirror website and online coalition loyalty firm Ipoints.co.uk are running a joint promotion to recruit new prospects.

Visitors to Mirror.co.uk are being invited to enter a prize draw to win one of five digital video broadcasting USB TV tuners, which can be used to convert a PC or laptop to a high-resolution digital TV.

When they enter, they can opt in to either the Ipoints reward scheme or the Mirror's daily e-newsletter of top news stories and competitions, or both.

The Mirror's aim is to collect readers' personal details to drive relationship marketing.

Members of the Ipoints loyalty scheme can collect points in exchange for DVDs, CDs, books and holidays from the Ipoints catalogue.

Geraldine Tosh, managing director of Ipoints.co.uk, said the campaign followed on from a previous one, which offered a free curry meal to Daily Mirror readers.

"This drove large numbers of high-quality new members to us, so we know that the Ipoints proposition appeals to Mirror readers and are hoping to repeat this success," she said.
