Market Research Society unveils new training programme
LONDON - The Market Research Society has launched a new range of training programmes with the aim of helping researchers to develop their business and leadership skills.
The MRS Learning & Development Programme will incorporate courses that were previously offered by the British Market Research Association, but has been extended to offer more development opportunities to researchers on the client side and in agencies.

The programme is divided into three strands: research skills, business skills and leadership skills.
The leadership skills strand is designed to help senior level executives maximise the performance of themselves and their teams and is split into four one-day courses: mentoring skills, advanced client relationships, essential skills and people management and skills for effective leadership.
The business skills strand will run in a similar way, with one-day courses including winning new clients and internal auditing.
Barbara Deutschle, MRS training programme manager, said: "By integrating some of the BMRA courses and offering a broader programme that enhance researchers' business skills, we can meet the needs of those looking beyond the core research competencies -- and ensure clients get a higher level of expertise."
At the same time, the MRS has opened a new training office in Clerkenwell, London.
