Video and networking in Time's 50 coolest websites
NEW YORK - YouTube, MySpace and internet radio station Pandora are among the websites that Time magazine has dubbed the 50 coolest in its most recent edition.
Time magazine has published the list after looking at hundreds of sites, many of which have been suggested by readers.
It has divided its list into categories including travel and real estate, entertainment, arts and media, and shopping, lifestyles and hobbies.

The list includes a number of the usual suspects. These include YouTube, the internet phenomenon that lets people upload video, which can be searched for, watched, recommended and blogged -- often leading to the creation of unwitting internet celebrities, most recently a 79-year-old pensioner called Peter.
Also appearing on the list is MySpace, which continues to be massively popular despite fears that being bought by News Corporation would erode its status with web users.
The big hitters line-up for the honour with some that might be lesser known to the wider public, such as a blog called Not Martha, which features posts such as "adventures in making lip balm", and blurb.com, a service that allows bloggers to publish their musings in book format.
Another site on the Time list is Kids in Mind, a website that provides what it calls "movie ratings that actually work". For example, it gives the film 'Miami Vice' a seven for sex and nudity, informing readers that in one sex scene "a man and a woman have sex: they kiss, she straddles him as he sits on a bed, they thrust and moan, and they kiss some more", and that in another scene, "women dance in skin-tight dresses".
