LONDON - The National Incentive Show, the industry's annual promotional marketing conference, will be held on September 19-21 at Birmingham NEC.

The event organisers said it had gathered together a number of industry figures for the show, which is in its second year.

The Big Kick has been invited to share its thoughts on winning the Institute of Sales Promotions' marketing grand prix award for its Branston Baked Beans campaign.

Among the other lectures set to feature include: Dr Philip Morton of REPIC, on how companies should prepare themselves for new European recycling legislation; Gill Thorpe of the BPMA on how to purchase and negotiate the best contract; and Carl Rohsler of Hammonds on the potential pitfalls of business ventures in the Far East.

Industry copywriter Andy Owen will host a session on the secrets of producing effective direct mail projects; and John Sylvester from P&MM on the benefits of marketing pre-paid incentive cards.

There will also be talks held by David Lebond, executive director of fixed fee specialists Fotorama, on improving sales returns; and David Pearson, head of operations at P&MM's sales promotions department, on the popularity of movie promotion campaigns.

The National Incentive Show claims it is the promotional marketing and incentive industry's largest attended event, and will take place in hall 20 at Birmingham NEC next month.

More information on attending the event is available through the National Incentive Show website.
