Learndirect holds digital account review

Campaign 25-Aug-06

Learndirect, the Government-sponsored network of online learning and information services, is reviewing its digital marketing account.

The pitch, which is being handled by COI, is understood to involve
website development and to involve a six-figure budget.

COI has contacted agencies to ask them to express their interest in the

business, with a full brief expected to follow later this week.

Learndirect is in the middle of a statutory review of its sponsorship
account, currently held by Drum PHD. The organisation is one of the
Government's largest sponsorship spenders. It has just completed a
£425,000 deal with ITV, which saw the Learndirect logo appear at
the start and end of The Jeremy Kyle Show and around Sunday-night drama
programmes.

A spokeswoman for COI said: "COI is handling the appointment of a
digital agency to redevelop Learndirect's website. Discussions with
agencies are at early stages and a pitch date has yet to be
confirmed."

Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe/Y&R holds the education service's £7
million creative advertising account.
