City AM circulation hits 90,000 as it celebrates first year
LONDON - London's free business newspaper City AM claims it has increased its circulation to more than 90,000 copies, a 50% rise on the 60,000 distribution it started life with exactly a year ago yesterday.
The newspaper said it is set to improve on its July ABC figure of 87,993 by breaking through the 90,000 circulation barrier.
City AM, edited by David Parsley, also published the results of its online readership survey, which found that 51% of the paper's readers did not read a daily quality newspaper on their way to work.

The survey, which consulted 829 readers, also found the average salary of a City AM reader to be £76,600, with 23% owning a plasma TV, and 20% owning a Blackberry.
City AM said the results indicated that the newspaper's demographic were high earners who did not generally buy other media titles.
The introduction of Associated's London Lite and News International's thelondonpaper this month will increase competition in the freesheet market, but City AM said it was confident of seeing off the challenge.
However, in August the title pre-empted the increased competition by announcing plans to offer advertisers triangular, non-conventional ad spaces in a bid to "up the ante" for control of the fiercely competitive sector.
