Tesco stores to sell halal sweets
Tesco is to appeal to Muslim shoppers by stocking halal milk chocolate bars ahead of Ramadan, which starts on 24 September.
It will be the first time the bars, produced by Ummah Foods, have been
stocked by a major retailer. The orange and caramel variants will be
sold in areas with a high Muslim population.
As well as adhering to Islamic principles in its ingredients, packaging

and philosophy, Ummah Foods supports a charity and community
projects.
Muslims account for about 3% of the UK population, according to the
Office for National Statistics.
