Expedia.com awards Doner $170m account
NEW YORK - Online travel brand Expedia.com has appointed Doner to handle its estimated $170m (£90m) advertising and media account following a final three-way pitch.
Doner won the account after a shootout against Omnicom's TBWA\Chiat\Day in Playa del Rey, California and Interpublic Group's Mullen. WPP Group's Berlin Cameron United and Interpublic's McCann Erickson were eliminated at an earlier stage.

Doner already handles Hotels.com, which is partnered with Expedia, and will handle advertising and media duties.
The account had previously been handled by Interpublic's Deutsch/LA, which had handled the account for seven years.
The review comes as Expedia faces tough competition and has seen its business lose ground to rivals Travelocity.
Expedia's £14m UK account was won by DFGW after a pitch against VCCP and Delaney Lund Knox Warren & Partners.
