Carrie Barker appointed to head up Emap Australia
LONDON - Carrie Barker, director of sales for Emap consumer magazines and cross promotional arm Emap2, has been appointed to the role of managing director for Emap Australia.
Barker will report to Chris Llewellyn, managing director of Emap International, part of Emap Consumer Media.
She has been at Emap for 13 years, and has held several senior roles at the publisher including executive publishing director at Emap Elan, where she was involved in the acquisition of Top Sante and launched Pregnancy & Birth.

In 2000, Barker then became managing director of Emap Esprit, which publishes Yours, Mother & Baby and Slimming. She joined Emap Advertising in 2004.
She succeeds Rob Munro-Hall, who was appointed as managing director of FHM in the UK, Emap Metro and Emap East last month.
Barker said: "I am looking forward to working with a great team of people in building on the success of Emap Australia's exciting portfolio of brands.
"As for Emap Advertising, I leave behind the most creative and passionate team in the industry and I wish them every success for the future."
