Drivers get special traffic lane in JWT's Crunchy Nut ad

LONDON - JWT has created a new TV commercial for Kellogg's Crunchy Nut that continues the theme of drivers bypassing heavy traffic in order to get home and eat their favourite cereal.

The spot opens with a shot of a man behind the wheel of his car during rush hour. He is stuck in traffic and craving Crunchy Nut.

"Rush hour," the voiceover says. "Millions of people desperate to get home for another bowl of Crunchy Nut."

The voiceover goes on to explain that a special traffic lane has been created for people wanting to get home and sate their appetite for Crunchy Nut. The man is thus able to use the new Crunchy Nut lane to get home quickly.

But drivers wishing to use the lane can only do so if they have a permit. The next scene shows a permit-less car attempting to use the lane. The vehicle is picked up by cameras and a security guard orders her men to "get him".

The endline reads, "Get Home. Have Some."

The copywriter was James Humphreys the art director was Craig Hunt. Media was planned and bought by MindShare.
