Australian market researchers get online forum
SYDNEY - Australian market researchers will now have their own online forum to discuss industry issues that are specific to their market.
The Australian Market Research Forum has been set up by Simon Howell, director of the market research agency The Acid Test.
The idea is to provide an open environment where people in the industry can exchange tips, get guidance on market research questions, keep abreast of developments and browse job opportunities.

Areas on the forum include industry events, recruitment, incentives and a general issues thread.
Howell said that the forum was intended to complement information sources already available, including the Australian Market and Social Research Society.
Howell said: "It is recognised that international market research forums do exist -- as they do for marketing and advertising -- but their coverage of the unique issues faced in Australia is not their primary function and hence responses to issues raised may not be relevant to Australia and in the worst case may be misleading."
Membership of the forum is free, and contributions are welcome on all areas of market research.
If you have an opinion on this or any other issue raised on Brand Republic, join the debate in the Forum.
