LONDON - Data management company Celerity has appointed Andrew Haines to the newly created role of head of data solutions.

Haines will be tasked with maintaining contacts with clients in the data industry and aiding Celerity's customer retention programme.

He joins from rival firm Adare Intellidata, where he was IT director for four years.

Jason Lark, managing director of Celerity, said: "Andrew has tremendous experience and I am confident that he will be an invaluable asset to our clients and business."

Celerity said the newly created position was needed to help growth in its loyalty management and analytics projects with blue chip businesses.

In July, children's charity Barnado's appointed Celerity to trace lapsed donors and re-establish contact.

Haines added that he was "keen to play an integral role" in the development of the company's data management programmes.

Celerity launched an email address correction service for its direct marketing clients in May.
