AOL in five-year tie with O2 dome
AOL is seeking to boost its music credentials with a deal to become founding partner of the redeveloped Millennium Dome, renamed The O2.
The multimillion-pound, five-year tie-up will give AOL exclusive rights
to stream performances from the dome on to its websites.
The initiative is part of AOL's increased focus on using music and
ADVERTISEMENT
events in its marketing strategy. Its websites now highlight their
content rather than their technology.
AOL will be known as The O2's online and broadband partner. It will also
take lead sponsor status for the British Music Experience series of
events, which is being held at the venue next year.
