Linley to edit Heat magazine website
Emap has appointed Julian Linley, currently editor of its women's weekly First, as editor of the first website for Heat magazine, which will launch next year.
As we revealed last week, Heat's website is currently under development,
with Heat editor-in-chief Mark Frith and Rebekah Billingsley, digital
business director for Emap Entertainment, supervising the project.

will report to Frith.
Celebrity weekly rival Now, published by IPC Media, launched a website -
nowmagazine.co.uk - in August.
Meanwhile, with signs that First, launched earlier this year, is
struggling to find a market, Emap has brought in Closer editor Jane
Johnson to replace Linley. Johnson will become editorial director of
First on a six-month secondment, and search for an editor to replace
Linley during that time. Closer deputy editor Lisa Burrow moves up to
acting editor in Johnson's absence.
Heat, First and Closer are part of the Emap Entertainment group, headed
by managing director Louise Matthews.
