Sky to launch video-on-demand
Sky has confirmed plans to roll out on-demand services via the latest HD model of its Sky+ personal video recorder this year.
The company also plans to allow customers to set programmes to record via the internet from any computer outside of the home.
The announcement came as Sky revealed it had sold more than two million Sky+ boxes to date, with sales up by 50% year-on-year in 2006.

Meanwhile, research from the company's Sky View research panel has shown that PVR households watch an average of 12.2% of time-shifted viewing.
