IPC to launch Look next month

IPC is to launch Look, the young women's weekly developed under the codename Project Honey, on 6 February.

With £18m investment over two years, the title is IPC's biggest ever launch, and the publisher aims to sell 250,000 copies per week after a year on sale. It will largely cover high-street fashion and celebrity style and gossip.

Evelyn Webster, managing director IPC Connect, said the magazine would target ABC1 18- to 30-year-olds described as enjoying their "decade of indulgence" between leaving home and settling down with a family.

As revealed in Media Week last year (28 Nov - 5 Dec), the title will be published as a joint venture with French publisher Groupe Marie Claire that also publishes the monthly UK edition of Marie Claire.
Webster said Look would treat celebrities in a positive way and would also include real-life features.
Celebrity coverage and fashion photoshoots would mainly focus on high-street fashion rather than designer labels and help readers copy celebrity styles for less money.
